Welcome to the Kate Sessions Commitment Tree Gallery, established December 2025. We invite you to enjoy images of trees submitted by our team and the community-at-large. Explore the interactive map to discover more about specific trees across San Diego and learn what inspired someone to submit that particular tree. We encourage you to contribute to the Tree Gallery. Please add San Diego City or County trees that you enjoy or may have significance to you or the community.

Explore the Tree Gallery Map
Tips on Exploring the Tree Gallery Map and Adding Trees
- Select “City of San Diego” or “County of San Diego” just above the map to set the general focus area. Alternatively, search for a location by typing in a zip code or other search parameter such as an address, geolocation coordinate, or landmark.
- You may also use the “+” and “-” buttons to zoom in and out, respectively.
- When hovering your cursor over the map, you may use the hand icon to click, “grab”, and drag the map.
- A red dot with a number indicates there are multiple trees pinned in that general location. Click on a red dot and the map auto zooms to feature the pins in that area.
- Click on an existing green and white pin to display a specific tree’s photo with additional information. You may need to scroll down below the photo for the tree detail.
- To add your own tree(s), click on the large green and white “+” button in the top right corner of the map. Complete the brief form and submit your tree.
- Submissions are reviewed for appropriateness and may take 24-48 hours to appear on the map.
- To close these tips, click on the down arrow at the top of this box.
Terms and Conditions
By accepting our terms and conditions you agree to allow Kate Sessions Commitment (KSC) to:
- Display your photo and story on the KSC website.
- Share your story and/or photo on KSC social media pages including, but not limited to: Instagram and Facebook (with credit to author).
- Share your story and/or photo on other KSC platforms including, but not limited to: blog, newsletter, and Tree Mapping (with credit to author).
- Delete story or portions of submitted content if it does not align with our values and/or fails to meet the standard guidelines of Kate Sessions Tree Gallery.
- Access and edit stories and/or photos for grammar, punctuation, readability, and scale/crop/alter photos as necessary to optimize image display. If those edits require a substantial or material change, we will contact the original author prior to publishing.
- Send email notification when story is approved and published onto Gallery. *Author will not be added to newsletter and/or receive any other emails from KSC, unless they have opted in to receive the newsletter.
- Use Tree Location zip code for geographical data on KSC site and Tree Mapping Project.
