Our Team and Interns 2025-2026

Anisah Enciso is a Project Coordinator and our Tree Ambassador Lead who majored in Urban Studies and minored in Sociology and Sustainability at SDSU. She is involved in projects focusing on community advocacy, tree education, and climate efforts, and is currently aiming towards attending law school. She hopes to help the marginalized people in San Diego by advocating for trees, as well as sharing all their wonderful benefits with the environment and with society. Anisah’s LinkedIn

Annaliese Guthmann is a Project Coordinator with a background in environmental planning and education in Urban Studies and Sustainability from SDSU. Soon after graduating in 2023, she earned a CEQA certification from UCSD which taught her how to apply California policy and sustainability efforts to various projects, by learning how to analyze environment impact assessments, reports, and other land-use documents. She also is very passionate about environmental conservation and equitable access to the outdoors.   Annaliese‘s LinkedIn

Emma Smith is a Project Coordinator for the Tree Care team. She graduated from Washington State University in 2020 with a degree in biochemistry. Since then, she has pursued a career in conservation and advocacy. In 2024, Emma completed Kate’s Trees’ first Tree Condition Survey, and has since completed one more! Her work centers on factors that affect the growth of  urban trees, and expanding the urban forestry network throughout San Diego. Emma’s LinkedIn

Ian Navapanich is our GIS/ Mapping Coordinator with a background in Environmental Science from Whittier College and a GIS certification from Palomar College. Ian has helped out on a handful of different urban forestry and planning projects pertaining to community input mapping, locating viable tree sites, various survey analysis, and unlocking new tree and climate data. Zoe Woodhouse is a Project Coordinator and recent Environmental Science graduate UC Berkeley, with a focus on biology. She leads our iNaturalist projects and has been a huge component in our analysis of parking lot trees, tree condition surveys, and Get It Done trees. Zoe’s LinkedIn

Elizabeth Castelo, Community Ambassador and SDUSC Liason

Tierney Morton is our Communications Specialist and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sustainability and a minor in Food Studies from SDSU. She is very passionate about the environment and loves how social media can be used to help educate people on how to be more sustainable, and is currently our lead for our social media presence and our newsletters. Interns from SDSU 2025-2026

Patrick Bradley is our GIS and Mapping Intern and is currently studying Urban Studies at SDSU. He is a part of our community mapping efforts and has taken lead in the effort for Trees for Transit to provide more shade canopy at public transit stops. Patrick’s LinkedIn

Olivia DeVito is our Community Outreach/Schools Intern and is currently studying Sustainability and minoring in Ecology and Public Law. She is involved in SDSU’s green sorority and fraternity, Eta Epsilon, and has taken lead on the Tree Gallery Walk which includes input from SDSU students. Olivia’s LinkedIn

Marc Dayon is our Tree Establishment Intern and is currently majoring in Urban Studies (Planning, Design, & Management) at SDSU. He joined KSC with an interest in studying the connection between student behavior and green spaces and went on to lead a series of interviews and surveys: Study Spaces and Student Well-being Marc’s LinkedIn
